Remarks: Persona has ties to Mexico and may be residing in Tijuana or Acapulco. Although Persona was born in Mexico, he became a United States citizen in 1982. Therefore, it is feasible that he may be traveling back and forth between the United States and Mexico.
CAUTION
Ricardo Persona is wanted for committing sex acts upon two female minors, in the San Diego, California, area. It is alleged that the sexual activity, which occurred approximately February of 1995 to February of 1997, included sexual intercourse and various acts of touching upon a 15-year-old relative. Additionally, during this time frame, Persona allegedly committed other lewd acts in the presence of a 12-year-old relative.
On March 17, 1997, Ricardo Persona was arrested at his place of business and was released on bail. He failed to appear as required on March 28, 1997. A state arrest warrant was issued on March 31, 1997, by the Municipal Court of California, County of San Diego, charging Persona with continuous sexual abuse of a child; lewd act upon a child; forcible rape; unlawful sexual intercourse; and child molesting. Persona was subsequently charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in a federal arrest warrant issued by the Southern District of California, on July 26, 2001.
