(Click here to go back to the Wanted Page) ROMNEY LYNN PRINCE UNLAWFUL FLIGHT TO AVOID PROSECUTION - SODOMY FIRST DEGREE (TWO COUNTS), SODOMY SECOND DEGREE (ONE COUNT) Romney Lynn Prince was wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on July 17, 2003. Prince was arrested for sodomy on July 23, 2003, and was subsequently indicted by a Baldwin County, Alabama Grand Jury. Prince failed to appear for a scheduled court proceeding on April 27, 2004, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 14, 2004, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama, charging Prince with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. August 12, 2005 GULF SHORES, Ala. — A former Gulf Shores, Ala., police officer who fled sexual assault charges in 2004 was found living in Baja California, Mexico and has been deported to the United States. The FBI said Romney Lynn Prince, 38, was detained Wednesday in Mexico, where he had been living and working at a restaurant in Vinorama, Baja California. Mexican immigration officials deported Prince and he was placed in the custody of the San Diego FBI and sheriff's office. Prince allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage boy in Gulf Shores in July 2003 and was indicted by a state grand jury. He failed to appear for his scheduled court proceeding in April 2004.
