KEVIN BRACKEN
Executive Director of CAU Support Committee
President of Cambridge-Concord Communications, a marketing firm and direct marketing organization located in Farmingdale, Long Island. Kevin ia a member of The American Telemarketing Association and Direct Marketing Association. Kevin was a force behind the First Celebrity Golf Outing sponsored by the CAU - SPCC. Prior to Cambridge, Kevin was the President of Vision Capital, a firm where his expertise raised millions of dollars for small emerging growth companies and private companies looking to go to the market.
He is a volunteer basketball coach at Amityville High School, and works closely with all Long Island schools and coaches as a mentor to the Long Island students. As well, Kevin handles many golf outing association sponsorship events in the industry. He lives with his family in Copiague Harbor, Long Island.
Trina currently works for one of Long Islands largest retailers, Fortunoff. She manages the companies revenue generating e-commerce site and has been a marketing professional with over 15 years expertise in the industry. In the past, Trina has worked for such prestigious corporations as " American Express" and "Bloomingdales". She has recently received the award for 2005 Listnet Twenty Top Techie for long island. She is dedicated to the C.A.U organization and is committed to marketing the C.A.U's website and building support both financially and personally for the organizations noble cause. Trina would be happy speak to you about the C.A.U. organization and where to make any greatly needed donations.
Director of Training and Development and an I.T. professional with more than 25 years of expertise with one of Long Islands largest privately owned retailers, Gary set out on his own mission to "fight the fight" against Internet Crimes Against children back in 2000. Speaking at schools, Libraries and companies with his custom designed program "Safety Net 2000". His corporate program "Parents who need to know", alerts the parents in what they can do to become more computer savvy in protecting their children from cyber predators and/or cyber stalkers. Companies, schools, libraries etc, can schedule Gary to speak with their employees (concerned parents) on these subjects as a lecture class with Q&A for a donation fee to the C.A.U.
KAREN MARTIN
Director of Public Relations
Support Committee of CAU - SPCC
Responsible for managing CAU - SPCC public service announcements, advertising, videos, graphic design and is a constant force of being the key to the community for the organization. She lends her expertise to the unit throughout Nassau and Suffolk County as well as the tri-state area. She is committed to directing all CAU - SPCC public relation efforts and has handled many events for the organization and in the community. A media representative for Barnstable Broadcasting, Karen is an account executive for the Long Island Radio Group, WKJY, WHLI WBZO, & WMJC. Karen resides in Oyster Bay, and also works in conjunction with the Long Island Mentoring Partnership, 1&9 Breast Cancer Coalition & The Gift of Life.
JANINE PICCHIONE
Director of Administration,
Support Committee of CAU - SPCC
Ms. Picchione serves as the Director of Administration for the Support Committee of the CAU - SPCC and leads the unit's Child ID/DNA collection kit program. Janine is versed in child internet safety and is key in providing safety information to the public. Her role in planning and coordinating unit events is vital to the success of the organization's fund-raising, advocacy and education efforts.
Janine is responsible for the administrative functions of the Support Committee and acts as the communication conduit between the committee and the unit members. She also acts as liaison to Paul Hamilton regarding unit functions and information pertaining to the CAU - SPCC website. Janine lives in Suffolk County, Long Island with her family. She works as an IT Director for MediaAmerica, a syndicated radio advertising sales firm in New York City.
BONNIE P. CHAIKIN
Director of Education,
Support Committee of CAU - SPCC
Bonnie P. Chaikin assists in educating schools and the public on safety issues as prescribed by the CAU - SPCC. Admitted to the New York bar in 1978 and the Florida bar in 1979, she is currently counsel to the law firm of Berkman, Henoch, Peterson & Peddy. She was raised in Woodmere, and has resided in Oceanside since 1978. She graduated from Hofstra University magna cum laude and thereafter obtained her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
As the Town Attorney for the Town of North Hempstead under Supervisor May Newburger from 2001-2003, Bonnie helped the town negotiate and purchase sensitive property for inclusion in the town’s open space program. She helped shut down a neighborhood massage parlor that had been disturbing local residents, and helped the town transition to a new form of government, successfully litigating a major lawsuit upholding the town’s right to draw its own ward district lines.
RITA PATISSO

Rita’s involvement with the Support Committee of the CAU - SPCC focuses on the committee's teen program where she mentors the students on education and safety concerning the Internet. Born the youngest of four children, she lives in Valley Stream where she graduated from North High School in 2003.
Currently, she works as an administrative assistant for her brother’s company while attending St, Johns University in Jamaica, Queens where she is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Risk Management & Insurance. Her hobbies include shopping, working out, walking on the boardwalk, wining and dining.
STACEE WHITE

Support Committee of CAU - SPCC
A rising senior at Baldwin Sr. High School, Stacee is a member of the National Honor Society, Scholar Athlete, Model Congress, Youth for Political Awareness, Teen to Teen Program and the Polyglot Multi-Cultural Program. She is also the Fashion Editor of her school newspaper, The Golden Wave. Stacee has written several articles for the local newspaper the Baldwin Herald. This summer she is taking classes at Yale University. During her sophomore year at Baldwin Sr. High School she attended Columbia University’s High School Program for Creative Writing.
Stacee is also a member of the Girl’s Varsity Tennis Team, Student Athlete Leadership Team and a United States Tennis Association Level-1 Tournament player.
As a volunteer for the Child Abuse Unit’s Outreach programs, Stacee has been extremely involved in raising the awareness of the unit’s objectives in safeguarding children on the Internet throughout her community and school.
DANA JONES

Dana was one of the first junior members of the Support Comittee for the CAU - SPCC and has assisted in various event plans as well as helping spearhead the CAU’s “Don’t Toss” program. During the summer she works as a junior intern for the Child Abuse Unit where she works with businesses and other students – encouraging an awareness of the Unit’s mission to protect children on the Internet. A West Hempstead resident, Dana attends West Hempstead High School where she will be entering the 9th grade. Besides her involvement with the Child Abuse Unit she enjoys soccer, swimming and various other outdoor sports. Her goal is to keep working with the unit to enlighten other students to motivate them to help raise internet safety awareness.
BENJAMIN JAKE KORNICK

Volunteerism plays an important role in Benjamin’s life. He works with the Nassau County Police Department as a spokesperson for the Child Abuse Unit’s Print Cartridge Program. He also volunteers his time with The Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC) Nassau Chapter as a coaching assistant with AHRC’s Recreation/Special Olympics Club. In April of 2004, The Junior League of Long Island recognized Benjamin as AHRC’s youngest volunteer and cited selfless devotion in helping to improve the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
In addition, Benjamin has been involved with the Children’s Community Garden of Clark Botanical Gardens in Albertson, NY. He has also served as a Flag Bearer at the Interfaith Service for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and their families at Nassau AHRC in Brookville, NY. Each year, Benjamin is a willing participant in the Trick or Treat for UNICEF program. He is a 5th Grade student at East Hills Elementary School and enjoys academics, sports, music, photography and community service. He lives in Roslyn with his mother, Susan Kornick, the Director of Special Events at the March of Dimes, Greater New York Chapter/Long Island Division.
